Studios using Studio Pro Merchant Services in Australia can now enable BECS Direct Debit payments. With this new option, Online Payments and Auto-Pay Payments can be made by your customers with Australian bank accounts.
Using Studio Pro Merchant Services for Direct Debit will give you access to:
- Admin charges with saved cards
- Ticket-Pro
- Grow-Pro
- Online Store/POS charges
To turn the Direct Debit option on, you can go to More > Merchant Services > Settings from the left side menu > Payments tab > check the box next to Allow BECS Direct Debit Payments and save your changes!
Parents can log into their Parent Portal and go to Pay > Auto-Pay > Add Payment Method > select the AU Direct Debit option and enter their information.
Parents can also make a one-off payment and enter a bank account to use for Direct Debit:
Please Note: You cannot do this from the admin side. For security reasons, enrollment in Auto-Pay and payment by Direct Debit is done by the parent after they have logged into the Parent Portal.
With Studio Pro Merchant Services, you can also add convenience fees specifically for BECS and credit card transactions. These can be added under Magic > Online Registration, and More > Settings > Auto-Pay Settings.

Transfer time for BECS is approximately 2 business days from the time payment is made, and parents must enroll themselves into Direct Debit.
Direct Debit (BECS) payments can fail for reasons like insufficient funds in the account entered. For this reason, we recommend that you enable BECS Failure notifications in your Studio Pro Merchant Services settings (More > Merchant Services > Settings from the left side menu > Notifications tab). You have the option to send those notifications to your main account email address and/or enter multiple other email addresses.
