When it comes to payment processing, the stakes are exceptionally high. The tools cybercriminals use are ever-changing, and we work hard to eliminate threats. Our goal is to keep you and your customers safe from theft and fraud. Therefore, to increase your cybersecurity, we are changing two processes within the Studio Pro software effective immediately:
- USB readers for credit cards: We know these tools are handy for studio owners. Unfortunately, they can also expose your customers to security breaches. You may have noticed an increase in the number of cards that don't work on them – this is because banks around the globe have started to require transactions through chip readers instead. For you and your customers' safety, Studio Pro Merchant Services is no longer compatible with USB readers. Instead, you will be able to accept cards in person using the secure Studio Pro-compatible payment terminal. This will significantly reduce you and your clients' risk and give you peace of mind while doing business. With this new tool, you will receive a reduced rate of 2.6% $.05/per transaction for payments processed on a terminal. As always, Studio Pro will continue to allow parents to enter their card information directly into the application – saving you time and headache.
- ACH account entry: To protect your customers and meet the compliance guidelines of NACHA (the ACH oversight association), NEW ACH information processed within Studio Pro Merchant Services must be entered from the Parent Portal. Customers will enter the information and the details will be verified – protecting you from unnecessary ACH declines and protecting your customers from fraud.
