Stripe supports accepting ACH payments - direct from bank accounts - alongside credit cards. ACH is currently supported only for Stripe businesses based in the US. First, make sure you have ACH enabled in your stripe account. While logged into your Stripe dashboard, go to this address: https://stripe.com/docs/ach
If you see this screen:

Your account is NOT enabled. Click 'Accept Terms of Service' to enable your Stripe account for ACH.
If you DO NOT see the 'Accept Terms of Service' button, your Stripe account is already enabled for ACH access and you do not need to take any action.
To enable ACH payments in Studio Pro, go to More > Settings and click Connections in the left menu.
On the Connections page, scroll down to the Stripe section and click Other Stripe Settings.

To enable ACH payments, check the box that says "Allow Stripe ACH Payments".
**We also highly recommend that you enter an Authorization Agreement and select an email address that will be notified should an ACH payment fail.
The section about Plaid is OPTIONAL to use Stripe ACH. Before a customer can make a payment to you through Stripe ACH they must verify their bank account.
One method for verification that is automatically applied to your account is the use of microdeposits. With microdeposit verification, your customer will enter their bank account information and they will receive two small deposits in that account. They will then need to return to the Parent Portal and enter those deposit amounts to verify that they own the bank account they entered.
Plaid is another, optional, method for verification. It allows your customer to immediately verify their bank account by securely entering their online banking credentials like below.

If you would like to use Plaid, please see the FAQ "How do I set up a Plaid account?" Once you have set up your Plaid account, you can enter the keys and enable that option in your Stripe Settings page.
With Stripe ACH enabled, your parents will now see the option to pay using a bank account in your parent portal.
