Can I sell tickets to only my parents instead of the public?

 

You also have the option to 'sell only to parents but require that they pay their balance first'. This means that if any student in that family has a balance that parent will need to pay that balance before they are able to purchase tickets for that show.

 

 

Another option is to restrict sales even further and 'sell tickets only to parents that have students enrolled in classes for this event.' If you pick this option, the system will check the classes you have assigned to the event.

 

You can assign classes to an event by going to More > Tickets & Events, selecting the event, and clicking Classes in the left menu.

**Selling tickets only to parents with students enrolled in these classes can help when you have multiple shows and want to make sure parents purchase tickets for the correct show.  Just set up your different shows as separate events, assign classes as needed to each event, and your parents will only see the shows that they need to attend.

 

You also have the option to 'sell only to parents in those classes and make sure they pay their balance first' before they can purchase tickets.

 

 

You should also make sure that you have turned on ticket sales in your Portal Settings under More > Settings for this to work as easily as possible for your parents.  Then parents can log in to your portal, click Tickets, and then make their purchase.  Going directly to your Ticket-Pro link will NOT work with "Sell only to Parents" turned ON, they must start by logging into the portal. With this option turned on, you can also assign a parent when you sell a ticket in person.  This shows up on the ticket sales screen with a search box, where you should type in the parent's name.

 

The system then fills in the buyer information for you.

**If you only want to sell to parents first and then open sales up to the general public later, you can go back to your ticketed event at any time and change it back to public sales.
