Two-factor authentication (2FA) is the best way to secure your Studio Pro account. To set this up, you will enter a mobile phone number associated with your user account and verify that you own that phone number. With that phone number saved and verified, Studio Pro will occasionally ask you to verify your account after you enter your email address and password. Verification occurs when we send you a code via text message or voice call and you enter that into Studio Pro.
Each user account can set up their own 2FA.
Some key benefits of 2FA:
- Enhanced Security: With 2FA, even if your password is compromised, unauthorized access to your account is thwarted without the second authentication factor, sent to your mobile device.
- Protection Against Phishing: Phishing attacks, where unauthorized individuals trick users into providing their login credentials, are less effective against accounts protected by 2FA. Even if users unknowingly provide their passwords, unauthorized individuals still can't access the accounts without the second factor.
- Peace of Mind: Knowing that an additional layer of security protects your account provides peace of mind, especially when dealing with sensitive information or financial transactions.
- Compliance: In many industries, implementing 2FA is becoming a standard security practice to comply with regulatory requirements and industry standards.

How to set up 2FA:
To set up 2FA, go to More > Settings and click Security in the left menu.

Recovery Code & Recovery Kit
If you lose access to your phone or have a new number, you can use the Recovery Code to access your Studio Pro account.
When you log in and are prompted to verify with your phone number, you can use the Recovery Code to bypass Two-Factor (2FA) Authentication and get into your account. Recovery Codes can only be used once.
If you try to use a Recovery Code and enter an incorrect string 3 times, your Studio Pro account will be locked. If you don't have your phone and have lost your Recovery Code or get locked out, please contact support at support@Studio Pro.com.
Anytime a user updates their phone number in the Security section, a new code will be generated that they'll want to save.

How will this work with multiple users? Eg myself and my studio manager with different phone numbers, and different login details?
Same question. How do we set this up for multiple users? We have three admins, with different phone numbers and different logins. Thank you
Same question.. we have more than one admin that logs into the account with different phone numbers. This seems like it will be very inconvenient.
I have the same question as those above. We have more than one admin using the same credentials (email and password) with different phone numbers. We are not always working in the same location or at the same time.
Thank you in advance for your assistance! It would have been great to have had more notice and that this change was not happening during the busiest time of year for most dance studios in the U.S.
Can we set this up through a google authenticator or duo app?
How do we turn this off?
I have the same question. If we have two admins and only one phone number can be used. Do we have to give them a code every time now ?
Same question as all of the above. Understand the need for security, don't understand how this will work in a setting where a singular admin might not always be available when authentication is needed.
Wondering the same thing as everyone else. There is more than one person and one phone number will not always be available authentication is required.
Same question that everyone else seems to be having. Multiple users with different numbers and we are not at the same locations at times that we use this system. If it can only be one number for all accounts is there a way to turn this feature off?
Did anyone the question? How are we going to do this when we have multiple users?
I recently opened a request after commenting on this same feed to find an answer and someone got back to me right away. They told me that they recommend adding a user login for each person who needs to access your account. They can use their own phone number for their 2FA. So if each person has their own login for the account with their own email and password then they can use their own number for this feature. Hope this helps everyone!
Thank you, Katharina, as this is helpful! I still have to ask WHY this is required of all users? I can understand requiring it based on the individual permissions a user has, but it seems really silly that our support staff, who do not have permission to access anything sensitive in the software, have to jump through this hoop. For all of the security it lends to our business, it is an ethically gray area to require people to use their personal cell phone for a work task (even though most aren't paying for data/texting anymore). That area gets even more gray when teenagers are involved.
