Studio Pro: Ticket-Pro Frequently Asked Questions
This Q&A provides answers to the most common questions about using Ticket-Pro in Studio Pro, including pricing, payment processing, and event setup.
Ticket Pricing and Fees
Q: Can you sell tickets on Ticket-Pro at different prices based on location in the theater?
A: Yes! This is called tiered pricing. Once your event and ticketed event are set up, click the Actions button to the right of the event and select Special Prices. You can set up pricing based on seating row or section, view your seating chart, and sell tickets online or in person.
Q: What is the fee per ticket? Can I pass the Ticket-Pro Fee along to customers?
A: The Ticket-Pro fee is $1 USD per ticket. You can choose to pass this fee to customers by setting up a convenience fee under your ticketed event. Go to Ticket Fees in the left-hand menu to enable this option.
Selling and Account Controls
Q: How can I ensure only parents with paid-in-full accounts can purchase tickets?
A: In your ticketed event settings, find the Selling Option. You can set this option to “Sell only to parents with $0 balance.” This ensures only families with paid-in-full accounts can purchase tickets for events like recitals.
Q: Can ticket payments be deposited into a different bank account from my regular payments?
A: Not at this time. All payments processed through Ticket-Pro (tickets and other transactions) will be deposited into the same merchant account you have linked for your studio.
Promo Codes and Sales Limits
Q: Is there a way to limit the number of tickets someone can purchase using a promo code?
A: Yes. When creating a Promo Code, you can set a maximum number of uses or a maximum number of tickets per family. This is helpful when offering early access or limited-quantity promotions.
Payment and Checkout Options
Q: Can customers pay cash for their tickets?
A: Yes. On the ticketed event page, click the Actions button on the right and select Sell In Person. During checkout, you can choose Cash/Check as the payment method.
Ticket Scanning and Validation
Q: How do we scan QR codes on tickets?
A: The QR code on each ticket can be scanned from any mobile device with internet access. You can use your device’s camera or any QR reader app. Simply:
Open your camera or QR reader app.
Point it at the QR code on the ticket.
Tap the link that appears to mark the ticket as scanned.
This instantly validates the ticket within your Studio Pro system.
