All financial transactions are stored at the Student level. To post a charge or a payment directly to a student, go to the Student detail page and click the Transactions action.

This page shows all transaction history for the account, and it allows you to post transactions directly on the account.

To post a payment to this account, select "Credit (They paid you)" from the Posting Type dropdown.

You will then see all the basic information about the payment. Enter whatever you need to record. Click the "Post Transaction" action when you are finished. The payment will be applied to their account.

Follow the same process to enter a charge on the account. This time you would select "Debit (They owe you)".

Complete the information and click the Post Transaction action. This will add the charge to the account. This will be reflected in their balance immediately.
Notice: This is not the recommended method for applying tuition to accounts. This is for manual transaction posting. You can use the Post Tuition method to apply tuition to all accounts at one time. Also, you can perform a similar function by applying payments without having to go into each account.

I need help in posting payments correctly.
Please go to my students Rosalyn and Gracelyn Womack and see that I have posted sept and oct payment and it's in the red showing they owe. What am I doing wrong. Also without posting the tuition as a credit which I was doing, how do I send a receipt or maybe I can't.
Im sorta in a mess. I've got some of my tuition as a credit through the transactions and then I started posted tuition under the tab more.
