If you are holding a live class session online, you can use Studio Pro to distribute those meeting locations and help parents view them from their portal rather than sending them emails to keep up with.
Your first step will be to set up an online meeting using a third-party service. An example of a service like this would be:
-Zoom (https://zoom.us/)
-Google Meet (https://gsuite.google.com/products/meet/).
Once you have your online meeting link, you can save it to the meeting on your class in Studio Pro.
Go to your main "Classes" page and select the class.
If your online class will be meeting on the same day and time that you have a regular class scheduled, click "Online Class" in the left menu.
On the "Online Class Settings" page, paste the link copied from your meeting service into the URL box, you can also add a description, then click "Save Changes."
If your meeting or streaming app has an embed code instead of a URL, you can copy and paste that embed code into the "Embed Code" box.
If your Online Class session is going to be held on a different day or time than you regularly hold class, you can add an Extra Class Date.
When you add an Extra Class Date you will have the same options to add an Online Class URL and Description.
When you have saved your Online Class Settings, parents see indicators in their parent portal that a class will be held online. For example, in their dashboard under "Online Classes" and "Today's Schedule" they see the video icon.
They see the same icon when they click through a class on their Calendar. To make them easier to find, Online Classes will have a double ** after the class name in the Calendar.
When it is time for the class, the parent can click that icon to access the online meeting.
If the class hasn't started yet or isn't held on that day, they will see a message indicating that.
