When you set up a Payment Plan, the system automatically charges the saved payment method for parents on the dates you set up. If one of those payments fails for any reason the system will automatically retry that charge up to THREE TIMES.
The first retry happens three days after the original payment date, if that retry fails another is attempted five days later, and if that retry fails the system attempts the charge again eight days later. If the final retry fails the system will cancel the payment and the Payment Plan and send you a notification to your main account email address.
To see the status of a payment and retries, go to your main Parents page, select the parent, and click Payment Plans in the left menu. On the Payment Plans page, you can scroll down in the payment dates and see the reason a payment failed and when the next retry is scheduled to happen.
