If a parent is enrolled in auto-pay, you can set up a payment plan for that family to automatically collect and apply a payment based on the schedule you set up for them.
To set up a payment plan go to Parents and click on the parent name, then click Payment Plans in the left menu.
Click the Add Payment Plan button. If this parent is not enrolled in auto-pay yet, you will not see this button.
You can now set up amounts and how the payment should be applied when it is processed. A payment can be applied to multiple students and specific transaction codes, or you can just select Balance to have the payment apply to anything that is due.
**You should consider setting the Stop Auto-Pay Date on students involved in payment plans that you set up. This will help prevent you from collecting payment in a payment plan and also when you run auto-pay.
Next, set the Payment Schedule for this plan. In this section, you tell the system how many payments should be processed and when they should be processed. By default, the Starting On date will be the current date, but you can change that if you are setting up a plan that should wait and start sometime in the future.
In the next section, you should give your plan a name. This will be used in the memos of transactions that are posted and in emails that are sent to you and the parent to help identify what the payments are for.
In the final section, the system shows you the dates that payments will be collected. If the dates look correct you can click the Save button to save this Payment Plan.
When a payment plan has been saved the system will automatically charge the parent on the dates you set up. You can return to the Payment Plans Page for that parent to check the status of the payment plan at any time. Under the Actions button, you can click View Payment Dates drill down.
When you drill down you can see the status for individual payments and when the next payment is scheduled to process.

After a payment is processed, you can also see the amounts posted to the student Transactions page based on how you set up the Payment Plan.
