When you Post Tuition or add another type of fee to accounts you can add a Due Date.
The due date helps tell the system when a fee is due and what payments to apply to those fees. If a transaction code and due date are set on a fee, whenever a new payment is made via Auto-Pay, that payment will cover the oldest open fee with a due date and take on that transaction code. Additionally, if you allow parents to select items to pay for or a user selects an item to pay for on a student account, that payment will be linked to the open fee.
This fee posting and payment tracking method allows for more accurate records to know what fees are outstanding and for which transaction code.
You'll notice a key in the upper right of a student's Transaction Journal. This key explains what the indicators next to a fee correspond to. These indicators show up whenever a fee has a due date applied when posting.
Green = item is paid and has a payment applied to it
Blue = item was only marked paid by a user (did not have a payment applied to it)
Red = unpaid and overdue
Orange = due today

I wish I could do a selection of transactions with mass command, such as "delete transaction".
Like a check box down to select which transactions I want and then have them deleted with out having to go through each one and delete with the drop down menu of settings individually.
