Most studios that use class count rates will enter 0 for the tuition on their classes. That tells the system to calculate tuition using just your class count rates for those classes. You also have the option of combining class counts with fixed class fee tuition.
This would be used if you price your classes like this example.
Ballet I: $50
Tap I: $60
Jazz I: $55
Tumbling I: $55
Any 3 classes: $150
Any 4 classes: $195
So if Jane takes Ballet I, her tuition is $50. If she takes Ballet I plus Tap I, her tuition is $110, which is a result of adding together the fixed fees for those two classes. But, if she takes Ballet plus Tap plus Jazz her tuition should be $150. If your tuition doesn't work this way, then the rest of this document does not apply to you.
To set this up, first create your classes and enter in the Tuition box the amount the student would pay if that is the only class they take:

Next, go to More > Tuition & Statements and select the Rates tab. Select Class Count Rates and enter your rates for 3 classes, 4 classes, etc.

Because you want these rates to kick in when a student reaches a certain number of classes, click this link:

A popup is displayed. In our example, the class count rates start working when a student is in more than 2 classes. So you would select 2 in the dropdown and click Save. Now when a student takes three classes the system will use your rates to give the student tuition of $150 instead of adding all the fixed fees together.
