You can configure a default due date offset so that newly posted fees automatically receive a due date based on the transaction date.
Prerequisites
Access to More > Settings
Permission to manage billing settings
Process
Navigate to More > Settings > Billing Settings.
Locate the Default Fee Due Date (Days from Transaction Date) field.
Enter the number of days to offset the due date from the transaction date.
Click Save Changes.
Additional Options
Set to 0 - this will set the due date to the same day as the transaction date.
Leave blank - this will not auto-populate a due date. The Due Date field will remain empty until manually set.
If you have a day amount set and want to clear it so no due date auto-populates, just delete any number in the Default Fee Due Date field and Save Changes.
How It Works
When posting fees (e.g., tuition, costumes), the system automatically sets the Due Date to:
Transaction Date + Default Fee Due Date (in days)
For example, if today is April 15th, and I have the Default Fee Due Date set to 10, it would look like this:
Then, when I go to Post Tuition, the Due Date field auto-populates to 10 days in the future, so April 25th:
Troubleshooting
Problem: Due Date is not auto-populating when posting fees
Solution:
Verify a value is entered in Default Fee Due Date
Ensure the field is not left blank
Click Save Changes after updating the setting
Problem: Due Date is set to today instead of a future date
Solution:
Check if the value is set to 0 and update it to the desired number of days
FAQ

No. This setting only applies to fees posted after the change.
Can I override the due date when posting a fee?
Yes. You can manually adjust the Due Date during fee posting.
What happens if I clear the field after using it?
Future fees will no longer auto-populate a due date; the field will remain empty until set manually.
