There are multiple ways to set up tuition in Studio Pro. We offer fixed tuition by student or class, tuition by hours, or class counts.
The most common tuition model is tuition by rate.
Example:
1 hour is $55
1.5 hours is $60
2 hours is $75
2.5 hours is $90
3 hours is ...
You can set this up by going to More > Tuition & Statements
Select the Rates tab. You can enter the rates for each of your hours.
**Once you've entered your rates, the system will look at how long the classes are that a student is enrolled in and then select the appropriate tuition amount when you post tuition.
For example, if you had a student that takes both Ballet and Tap and each class is 1 hour long, the system would realize that it is 2 hours of classes and would charge them $75 when you Post Tuition.
You can also set the tuition on the class. Go to the Classes module and click on a class. You can set fixed tuition for the class. This is useful if you have a model that does not align with the Rates model.
You can also do the same for individual students by going to the Students module and clicking on a student. Click the Tuition tab on the student detail page.
This offers several options for setting tuition at the student level.
**Once you have defined your tuition model, you can then use the Post Tuition action to apply a charge to all enrolled students. The system will calculate what the tuition is for each student and then apply a debit to the student's account showing that they owe the tuition amount.
Post Tuition can be found by going to More > Tuition & Statements and then clicking the Post Tuition to Accounts action.
