You can have the system prorate collected tuition amounts in Online Registration and in the Registration Manager by applying the prorate settings to your season.
Start by going to More > Seasons and selecting your season. Scroll down on the season detail screen and check the box to Prorate Tuition During Season.
Now, tell the system how you have set up your tuition amounts. If the tuition for your classes is set up as a monthly amount and you post tuition monthly, select one of the Monthly options. If your tuition amounts are entered for the amount of a full season, select Full Season/Term Amounts.

If your tuition is set up as monthly and you choose the 4 weeks option, tell the system how many weeks are in the first month of your season. If your first month is a full month, select 4 weeks.

Save your season settings. On the day after your season starts the system will begin to prorate tuition charges for new online registrations and registrations you process through the Registration Manager. The calculation is based on how many class sessions have already happened in the time period you selected.
Example - Monthly Amounts (4 Week Months)
A class meets 8 times a month and the fee for that class is $100. One of those class sessions has already happened when a new student registers for that class. With proration for that season turned on, that student would be asked to pay 7/8 of the normal fee - $87.50. The 4 Week Month option will always prorate monthly amounts like there are 4 weeks in a month, so for a class that meets once per week the percentages paid will always be 100%, 75%, 50%, or 25% of the regular tuition.
Example - Monthly Amounts (Calendar Month Actual Class Sessions)
A class meets 8 times a month and the fee for that class is $100. One of those class sessions has already happened when a new student registers for that class. With proration for that season turned on, that student would be asked to pay 7/8 of the normal fee - $87.50. The next month, if that class happens to meet 9 times and a student registers after one of those class sessions has already happened, that student would be asked to pay 8/9 of the normal fee - $88.88. So each month the proration calculation adjusts based on how many times each class meets in that calendar month.
Example - Full Season/Term Amounts
A class meets once per week for 10 weeks in your term, and the fee for the term is set to $1000. 3 of the class sessions have already happened when a new student registers for that class. With proration for that season turned on, that student would be asked to pay 7/10 of the normal fee - $700.
